The Bee Hive in Rome

Hi All-

Has anyone stayed at The Bee Hive in Rome?

http://www.the-beehive.com

I have read a few reviews and it is in my price range, hopefully someone here has a personal experience staying there!

Thank you!

Sarah

I haven't stayed there, but might have suggestions for your price range. How much do you want to spend and what amenities do you need?

Ideally would be about $100 US dollars. For amenities: at least double bed, bathroom and maybe hairdryer. Somewhere close to city center (if at all possible in that price range).

That's only 75€ which is a bit low for Rome. How many people?

I stayed at the Hotel Grifo this past October. While the rooms are small (typical European hotel rooms) the location was fantastic...near restaurants, a grocery store, bakery, shops and a metro. We were able to walk all over the city from the hotel. Staff was great and helpful. Breakfast was included. They will discount your room 10% with my recommendation. Check out the website and reviews. If you decide to book, I'll give you my name and when we stayed there. http://www.hotelgrifo.com/inglese/home.htm

Hi Sarah, my husband and I are the owners of The Beehive in Rome and there are many reviews out there on-line that you can access. As well, if you have any questions, I am happy to answer them straightforwardly. I recognize that The Beehive is not for everyone and I don't hesitate to direct people to search for other accommodation if I believe that's the case, so please do feel free to let me know if you have any specific questions or concerns. All the best, Linda

My great-niece and her pals stayed at the Beehive during a mid-college trip. It was perfect for them. The staff were extremely helpful and, from my g-niece's reports, very protective of these young women (thanks, Linda!). But by the g-niece's reports it was also clear the Beehive (and its location) would not appeal to my very-much-older self.
