I submitted to the new website on Sunday. When I checked on Tue it said typical turn around is 3 days. Yesterday it said 4 days. and today now says...(I won't spoil the surprise, but if you're a linear thinker you'll get it.)

I just received this message from them this morning. I had submitted through the original site several weeks ago and resubmitted through the subsequent site about a week ago. "We are sorry to inform you that we are currently receiving a very large number of requests and will not be able to process them all.
We remind you that a negative result of an antigen test taken at a pharmacy, available all over France, grants the user a health pass that is valid for three days (72 hours).
We inform you that a new application is available online for foreign citizens except students : https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr...aire-etrangers
and following this link for students : https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr...aire-etudiants"
So I'm interpreting this as a response to my first (now outdated) application since the site they link to is the newer one, but when I check the progress on the most recent one, it says that files are usually processed within 5 days and still I've heard nothing.
So I'm resigned to the fact that I'll have to get antigen tests in Paris (I'll be there a month). Anecdotal evidence from this thread and others indicates that many restaurants accept the white CDC card, but museums are more strict. So I might schedule the museums in a cluster so I don't have to keep getting the test. Is it a pain? Yes, but in my opinion it's worth it to be able to be there again finally.

it’s a different process if you are a French resident and got your vac there. My French friend who was vaccinated in the US cannot get it converted to the QR code anywhere she had tried. It’s converting non EU into the French system.

Stu: I have read online that in mid-August, the French government instructed pharmacies not to process the information of vaccinated foreign travelers. All foreign travelers are required to use the online application route.

Email reply received today for my emailed in application. In the meantime I've already submitted via the new application website but no change in status after a week.

I have applied both ways and got emails yesterday the same as J62. I did use different email addresses for the email and website so I would know which one worked. We leave on Tuesday and if they come in great otherwise I am not going to stress over it.

Either an invitation to reapply online, or a notice that demand exceeds their ability to respond so you're "SOL for a pass before your arrive. But not to worry, you can get an antigen test upon arrival at a pharmacy and that'll cover you for 3 days"....

I have received that same message yesterday.........so I will have to begin looking for a pharmacy when I arrive in 13 days. What I don't understand is the "3 days". Does that mean it is only good for three days? and, if so, are we expected to search for a new pass every three days?????

mjs, I had that exact thought. They accept the CDC card to enter France; why not accept it when you're there. We're going to Italy from France and it's been so much easier to plan for that trip.

Just went to a pharmacy in Paris where others have gotten their CDC card converted in to the French pass and apparently the government told the pharmacies to stop as of one week ago. Our hotel concierge also told us the same thing. Wasted 60 euros for a negative antigen test so we can take the THV tomorrow. My vaccination pass will probably now come tomorrow

Maybe look for other things to do than museums during a pandemic.
Spending a long time in indoor venues with hundreds or at least dozens of strangers should probably be low on your trip to-do list.
