Success getting the U.S. C.D.C card converted to the French health passport

Well, Fodors is a wealth of information . . . I knew absolutely nothing about this!
I uploaded the TousAntiCovid app on my Iphone. Then I got to thinking, hey, this is a QR code. But I realized that in the State of California, where I got vaxed in January and February, has been providing a personal digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record for months, which of course I downloaded to my photos and put in my favorites. It is a QR code. Wouldn't this work?
Not going to France until next June, so have plenty of time to get the French health pass if necessary.

Surfergirl,
First, you're right. Fodors is a wealth of information! Secondly, no, your California QR code won't work. Right now in order to obtain the proper QR code for France, you have to upload documents to this site: https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr...aire-etrangers. But if you're not going until next June, I wouldn't do anything now because it will probably change many times between now and then. And who knows, we can be optimistic and hope that we won't need anything special by then!

We have been in France for 10 days now and have been asked for the Pass at every restaurant except once and every museum. Also at TGV in Paris but not at local trains in Nice. Museum in Avignon would not accept my CDC card when I tried but otherwise suspect the CDC card would work most of the time. Attitude against COVID including mask wearing appears to be more casual here in the south of the country which might partially explain the large number of cases here. Fortunately 76% of the population in the Nice area have apparently had two jabs and the incidence rate is down to around 1.0%

PRO TIP: Several travelers report they got their Passe instantly upon sending a message to the government website.
I did so last evening.
It worked!! The link to the Passe was in my Inbox at 6 AM today.
On the confirmation-of-receipt email you receive after applying, there's a link to "Messageries". Clicking on that opens a page with a box for typing your message. I asked:
"Je souhaite accélérer la délivrance de mon document. Avez-vous besoin de plus d'informations de ma part?"
