Shuttle Service from CDG
Hello! I am looking to get a shuttle service from CDG to the 7th. We have 3 adults and 2 small children (ages 5 and 2) so I think we will be too much for a taxi, and we will likely be arriving right in morning rush hour (plane lands at 7am.)
We have too much luggage/strollers/etc. to deal with the Metro this time, or even Roissy, and are going to an apartment rather than a hotel.
2 years ago we used Shuttle Inter, and we had to call the morning of because we were bumped off a flight in AMS, and had no issues (other than the driver had trouble finding the apt.) But I have read a couple of poor reviews--- does anyone have a good recommendation?

As others have already said, it will be cheaper for you to take a taxi--and easier. Just walk out to the taxi queue and tell the man how many you have. Do not take a cab with anyone who approaches you in the terminal or in the line.

We also heard some negative reviews last year regarding shuttle inter and were a little apprehensive after having booked with them. However, they came to the airport and picked us up on time and came to the hotel to drop us off at the train station on time so we had no complaints.

Depending on where in the 7th, the Roissybus or Air France Bus from CDG might be an option. See: http://www.parisescapes.com/paris_cdg_to_paris_bus.html
The bus is cheap and drops you off at Opera. A taxi stand is around the corner if you need it, but you might be able to walk it and stretch your legs. Go to google maps and see how far from Opera your hotel or apt. is.

I can't agree that a shuttle will be that much more expensive than a taxi. We're just back from our European Adventure and used "shuttle-inter" for our pick up and return to CDG. We booked them via the internet as there is no upfront charge (you pay after you're dropped off). We had no problems and the van they used could take your family for around 55 euros. My suggestion would be that you check out their website before making your decision.

Take a closer look OZJohnno. Shuttle Inter will charge 85€ for six passengers (and they are among the cheapest shuttle companies), a taxi will only add a 3€ surcharge for the 4th, 5th and 6th passengers. Thus, the above group of 6 will pay Shuttle inter 85€ or 45€ to 55€ (plus the 9€ surcharge) a total of 54€ to 64€ for a taxi. Even if we include a 1€ per bag (after the first) surcharge which can be assessed by a taxi, that adds 5€ and still the taxi savings are significant.
People take their taxi prejudices, most likely learned in some other country, and try to apply them to Parisian taxi service and the result is they ultimately pay more than they need to pay and miss the many advantages Parisian taxis offer: no need to call, better pricing, taxis always show up, and most taxi drivers are independent operators driving expensive, late model vehicles.
