taxi or shuttle from cdg to latin quarter

2 adults 2 kids (3 and a baby) plus stroller baggage etc. Will this fit in a cab? (it does in New York)

Would the charge for the child on the shuttle? How much should a taxi cost? Do the cabs run a meter or is there a fixed price?

The taxis run on a meter and if you plan on around $45 Euros from CDG to the Latin Quarter, you will be close. There are taxis large enough to accommodate all of you, but not EVERY taxi. (I would recommend a taxi over a shuttle, but you will get varying opinions on this here.)

Happy Contrails!

I am another believer in taking a taxi over a shuttle. Usually taxis take three people but I am certain you will find a taxi to accomodate you all plus your stroller and baggage-for a small additional charge. It's always like that; taxis do charge for baggage for everyone.

At the taxi stand at CDG there is an attendant who should see to it that there is a taxi to fit all of you. Don't worry, it'll work out fine. Just don't hassle with a shuttle unless you want to delay your trip into Paris. Have a great vacation!

Taxi for sure. Jim's 45Euro is right on the money. We (family of 4 with teenage kids) paid exactly that to go to our hotel on the 6e near Pont Neuf(sp?). We had to wait about 10 minutes for a large taxi as most could only take up to 3 passengers. For going back, we asked the hotel to call a taxi and they made sure to call for one that would accomodate our family.

I have to concur with Vida's comments regarding the hotel's reserving a taxi for the trip back to CDG.

That's really a convenience as all hotels do this for guests. You just let them know when you need the taxi on your departure day and the hotel will reserve it for you. No hassles and the taxi shows up at the exact time the reservation is for.

Yes, reserve a taxi for your return. Be aware that it will arrive with something showing on the meter--it begins to run from where the taxi stand is.

Alex contact the shuttle people first & get a quote then you can make a more informed choice.
There are just as many satisfied / disatisfied taxi users as shuttle users & vice versa.
Im not advocating one over the other but you need all the facts before you can decide.
With 2 children and all the stuff in tow, an overnight flight, take the cab.
The shuttle is not that much cheaper (if any) and is not direct in all likelihood.
