Sept . or Oct. better time for Spain?
We are visitng Spain for about 20 days ( Barcelona, Granada, Madrid) but cannot decide on the month.
Very hot weather ( over 25C or high 70F) is not for us , but we also do not wish to carry an umbrella all the time.
please help! Nela

I don't think you will have many days over 25 in the second fortnight of September even in Southern Spain. That said, we have a variable climate these last years and nothing can be written in stone. In October is easier to have rain...but this is not England, I mean, most people will love to have a 20 days in a row rain here..but it just don't happen
So be prepared for sunny days, even a hot one, rainy days and stormy days also..I know I'm not helping a lot..but that's how it works here !!! Those are months that I cannot decide what to wear each day !!

I would do October - since southern Spain is VERY hot. (We were there in late October and it was high70's, low80's - it's frequently over 100 in the summer.)
As for no rain - you take your chances any where/any time. I've been to europe over 70 times - and it has rained at least once on every trip.
