September weather - southern coast Spain?

I'll be in Barcelona, Seville, Granada and Madrid the first two weeks of September. I've done some research regarding the weather and now it's time to think about some clothes....unless there's a major change in the normal weather, definitely summer clothes?

It looks like Barcelona might be the coolest of those cities but still summer clothes, throw in a light sweater just in case? (and for the plane )

For those of you who have been there or live there, can you confirm that I'm on the right track?

Thanks

I'd say that you are right, even though no one can foresee the weather. Even in Barcelona, I had days in the lower 30s (Celsius, not Fahrenheit!) during the day, and mid 20s at night during the first half of September.

A very light sweater and a light rain jacket (those gore-tex type jackets that have little or no insulation) are never a bad idea IMO. And don't forget your swim gear!

Agree on summer clothes with a light sweater or jacket for evening. (We've been in Madrid in April and it was already in the high 90s.)

Ok, well yes it could be similar then to Sacramento. When we were in Madrid in early Sept a few years ago is was quite warm, maybe in the 80s, and for me sightseeing that is too hot. But on the coast it was cooler and I know Granada gets cool in the evenings but hot some days so take some layers, there are plenty of threds here about that.

The first half should be still very hot. Last year it wasn't lower than 28ºC and around 20-22º during the night which I consider to be pretty warm! Additionally, I was still going to the beach in the first week of October. So don't worry that it's going to be cold Enjoy your stay!!

Thank Iga, and if it's that warm in Barcelona, Seville, Granada and Madrid should pretty darn hot too, right? Wow, well, it's a good excuse to buy new summer clothes!
