Mimi - I empathize with your shock and what you are going through. In some of my postings, I write about travels with my son. What has not been said that he was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma in his senior year of high school. After a year of chemo and many prayers of friends, many of whom were then strangers, he achieved remission. We celebrated 3 months after the end of chemo with a trip to Italy. He climbed Mt Vesuvius and got to the top way before I did!

I'm so sorry to hear this, Mimi. I feel like I know you from your posts and wonderful travel reports. Just try to stay positive - I'm a cancer survivor - so I know how devastating that diagnosis can be. At least you know you and your husband will be in the thoughts and prayers of many people.

May the memories of all your wonderful trips together in the past help you through this difficult time in the present! I hope that everything will work out so that the two of you can be planning a new trip for the future.I will keep you in my prayers for a quick and speedy recovery for your husband.Fondly-Debbie

Dear Mimi,
We send you our thoughts and prayers. Keep yourself well throughout this trying time. Remember what strength you will find in friends (some very remote) during the coming days, months, years and know that many hold you in their hearts. All our best wishes for many more trips.

Dear Mimi, I feel very badly for you and your family. Have faith in (whatever you believe) and in your medical team. I hope you'll be back posting as Cigalechanta and that your husband gets better soon. My thoughts are with you. Mary

I have some knowledge of how oncology works from the inside - if you need someone to translate Medical-speak (the ultimate language of obfuscation) into English, please drop me a line at [email protected]
