No we don't judge a country by some of its throwbacks from a less civil day. Cockfighting i believe is still legal in two US states - southern ones to be sure! Yet i wouldn't judge US on that barbaric event being legal.

Rex,are you pulling my leg? If this is true I would find that more fair. Its amazing the things you learn on this sight.Truley some interesting Pisanos.I must say getting back to the Mexican bullfight what was also troublesome was seeing two horses pulling up to the bull then dragging the lifeless bull away.On the positive side they said the meat is given to the poor in the city.

Who ever decided foxes were vermin? I happen to find them adorable. And can't imagine why anyone would wnat to hunt them - any more than they would dogs - or anything else for that matter.

As for hunting being a "sport" - I agree- when the deer have guns - or the hunters have to catch and kill the animals with their bare hands - only then will it be a sport.

Killing for the need of food, is one thing.
Hunting is for sport is a needless pastime.
