Thanks to the Fodorites' recommendations re:limoservicerome, we used them on our trip in March/April '03 for pick-up & drop-off. I too can't say enough about their service!! I would not consider using any other.

Jody, I will gladly let you know of the service from the service we picked.
I am in Ft Lauderdale and love it here. Came for a 9 day visit in 1985 and never left..

for this service, a confirmation e-mail is required a couple of days prior to leaving rom . is it easy to find access to e-mail in hotels in general? I'm on a 12 day tour and will only spend a couple nights in rome at the end of the trip.

also, does this company have branches in linate?

jal- it is not cheaper than a taxi, but it is infinitely more reliable- has plenty of legroom, and an english speaking driver....

Plus they meet you right outside of customs hall at the airport...

It is the ONLY car service I use when in ROME....SUPER good servious, late model AC mercedes- and also have larger van and station wagons if you have tons of luggage....

What was the approximate cost from the cruise ship to downtown Rome? For 2 with luggage.
And how much should I expect to pay from Spanish Steps to FCO for early morning return?

Here is the website rates from limoservicerome ---

from Civitavecchia:

Civitavecchia (Dock) € 118 for car € 128/140 for mini van....

and 42 Euros from hotel to FCO airport...

But email them direct to make sure the website rates are uptodate...

Is this the same serivce that will drive us to Positano? They sound great! Has anyone done that before? We are scheduling an October 19 departure. Any thoughts on who we should get to drive us to Positano?

We then need to get back from Ravello to Rome on the 25th.

Thanks

Diane
