Romeinlimo or Limousine Service Rome?

I was ready to book Limousine Service Rome when someone told me we should use Romeinlimo. Has anyone had experience with either company?

I haven't heard of Romeinlimo, but one that was recommended to me can be seen at:

www.romeshuttlelimousine.com/FiumicinoE.htm

35 Euros for up to 4 people in a Mercedes.

Thanks Richard. I checked out the website and they look good. Do you know someone that used them?

I've used Limo Service Rome a number of times without any problems.

Another vote for LimoService Rome. They were waiting when we arrived very late and whisked us off to our hotel in short order. Also had email from Andrea when we arrived home, asking if their service was satisfactory. Thought that was great.

Here's another vote for Limoservicerome. Andrea is great to work with. He emailed me when I got home to make sure we were happy with the service.

We used them to go both from and back to the airport, the driver was very prompt and the cars are clean. I would recommend them.

I don't remember which service we used, but we ended up overpaying the driver when we paid him in American currency rather than lira (at the time it was lira). Just be sure whatever they charge you have that and the tip in their currency.

Rome-Shuttle-Limousine was recommended to me by a business associate who just returned from Rome and used them for a very late arrival. They were there waiting for him and only charged an extra 5 Euros for the late pick up. I know many here like Limo Service Rome, but they charge 45 Euros. I think for our trip in May, I will use R-S-L to save the 10 Euros unless I hear anything negative about them in the meantime.

I've also used Limo Service Rome with no problems. Make sure you don't get it confused with Limo Services Rome because there have been some problems reported on this board with them. I looked at the Rome Shuttle website and it doesn't mention anything about wait time. Limo Service Rome includes and 1 1/2 hours of wait time at the airport so I would ask about this before I booked Rome Shuttle.

Is there some reason people don't take taxis from the airport into Rome?

glsebs - People use the limo services because it is usually cheaper than a taxi for 2 or more people.

I am heading to Rome in July and am ready to book my transportation from airport to hotel and hotel to the port, etc. Is it worth the extra Euros for peace of mind with Limousine Service Rome, or is Rome Shuttle just as good. Most people on this site recommend Limousine Service Rome. Also, would you use either of these companies for a day tour to Vatican or Colisseum? Thanks for any help!

Defintely [email protected]

Email them at the address above and put to the attention of "Andrea".

You list your flight numbers and arrival times..

They will meet you outside of customs with an english speaking driver and a mercedes sedan or station wagon, depending on number of people etc.

Price is good and dependability is AWESOME! We use them ALL the time...

Would NOT go with any other car service!!

If you are IN rome , these are not daytrips, just different parts of the city and easily walkable from most points ..at least for most people!

we are finally home safely and although the whole cruise was great, words cannot express the experience awarded by "Mr.duman" to us in Rome.
We wanted to tell every body how we enjoyed having him as our guide and will recommend him and his company " www.romeinlimo.com " highly to anyone who might be planning a trip to this beautiful country.
He has a very good knowledge [/B] of the area, which is what made our trip so enjoyable.

We agree with claudiaf
and cast another vote for Claudio - we used him 3 times just last month (May 05) and had great, prompt and courteous service.

Another vote for Limoservice Rome!

I had arranged all of our airport transfers (3 set of parties arriving
at different times) as well as transfers from Rome to the port to catch a cruise ship. Limo Service Rome was VERY professional, sending only
drivers with coat a ties, polite and always earlier than requested so as
to not make us wait.

All correspondence was done with email and their rates were one of the
lowest advertised. Much cheaper than using a taxi service. We had 7
adults to transfer to the port and then from the port to our hotel near
the airport. With luggage, they were able to transport us all in a
small van for only 140 Euro's each way. Our transfer from the airport to
our hotel in Rome was only 45 Euro's. I heard one passenger say he
paid 65 Euro's for a taxi for the same trip.

I would definately use them again if I returned to Rome.

We were in Rome in May 2008. We used romeinlimo.com for the day.

Our driver was Salvatore. He picked us up at the port in Civitavecchio, drove us around Rome and back to the port.

Salvatore was only a driver, not a tour guide, but we could not have asked for a better tour of Rome.

We did the usual tour stops--Vatican City, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Salvatore knew all the best views for seeing the city and taking pictures. We loved his "surprises".

What made the day so special was that Salvatore gave us a chance to get away from the tourist traps and mingle with the locals. He took us to a neighborhood market to buy fruit and then when asked about where to eat, he took us to a neighborhood sidewalk cafe. He helped us order. We started with apertifs, then went to the restaurant for choice of foods from a buffet and then we finished with freshly made pasteries. What a treat!!

He had some great tapes of Italian music. We went down the streets of Rome singing "O Solo Mia". We ended the tour singing "Arrivideci Roma".

What a day!! My vote is romeinlimo.com and Salvatore
