Hello All:

Staying at Hotel Barberini in March. Is anyone familiar with the hotel?

Thanks!

I know this hotel, for I have been once with a group of travel agents. The position is VERY central, near Via Veneto, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Barberini (there is an internet cafe in Piazza Barberini), Fontana di Trevi, Via del Corso (shopping street) and lots of other places. There are lots of buses that stop nearby and the hotel is near the airlines street which is Via Barberini. It is a good 4 star hotel so personally speaking I would recommend it. Again, I havent spent a night there ( I lived near Rome), but it is a good choice.

Whew! Thanks, Batuffolina! So hard to book a hotel from afar, especially when there are so many other recommendations! I have seen very little on Barberini, was getting nervous. Grazie!

As was said above, it is located at the bottom of the Via Veneto with all of its shops and restaurants, within walking distance of major sights, and there's a Metro stop at the door.

The Barberini seems to be on many discount and booking internet sites but I couldn't find the hotel's own site. Is there one?

The address is Via Rasella 3.
15 to 20 years ago, this hotel was named Hotel Atlas, a 3 star hotel, with about 60 rooms. Probably they have joined 2 former rooms to have 4-star style rooms. They had a lovely roof terrace on the 6th floor, which they still have.
The situation is very central, excellent location. Very good restaurants nearby.
