Rome car rental -- too cheap?

Has anyone had experience with "affordablecarrental.com"? They are quoting me a rate of 336 Euros (about $360.00) for an intermediate with automatic transmission, for 7/24 to 7/30, pickup and return at Fiumicino. This seems pretty cheap to me -- more so than the other popular rental sites like autoeurope.com (over $900 for similar). Affordablecarrental.com says the cars are supplied by budget. Is this too good to be true? Am I missing something?

Have they sent you confirmation of all this in writing - that seems incredibly cheap for an automatic. Perhaps you could check with Budget and see if they in fact supply cars to these folks.

Have just looked at the web site and it seems to list only US rentals - not europe - although I can't get it to work properly. Is that the correct web site - or is it affordablecarrental-uk? Or?

Actually, I used http://www. affordablecarrental-Italy.com to get cars in Rome. Sorry about the correction. Checking with Budget is a good idea, and I'll definitely do that.
I imagine the only "writing" I'd get is the web page confirmation to save in my hard drive.

Hi CT,

Are they including CDW in the quote?

Try www.novaeurope.com. They include CDW, VAT, etc.

I think it was included, but I'll check on the CDW. I'm not sure about novaeurope.com though; it doesnt seem to be a car rental site.

Ira -- thanks. These rates are lower than most others I've seen, but not so low that I feel like I might get taken for a ride (or not). I also like the fact that they only ask for a 15% deposit. I am going to check a bit more into the other place -- I'll let you know what I find out.
