Rome Airport Hilton Shuttlebus

The Rome Airport Hilton has a shuttle bus that takes guests to "downtown Rome." Does anyone know WHERE the bus drops you off in Rome and what time is the last bus back to the hotel? (I have been unsuccessful in getting this answer from the hotel.) So if anyone has this information, please let me know. Thank you.

It was two years ago, but to the best of my recollection:
The bus takes you at various times throughout the day on a regular schedule and drops you off very near the Victoria Emmanuel monument.
I believe we took the last bus back at night which was at 8:30 or so.
Hope this helps.

As an alternative you can always take the quick and convenient train service direct to/from the airport.

Also, I forgot to mention the service was provided free of charge to guests.

But if you don't like their schedule, you could take the train since you can walk to the terminal from this hotel. It would cost you about $20 round trip.

Hi,

The shuttle stops at Piazza Venezia, near the Victor Emmanuel monument. It is not far from the Forum and the Coleseum.

We took the quick and convenient train service. Have to say, it was hot, smelly, crowded and 70 minutes late. We took a cab back to the airport.

Does anyone have more recent comments on the Rome Hilton Shuttle? My parents are staying there for a few nights next week. Thanks.

Yes, I have recent information. The shuttle, which is a luxury bus, runs every two hours on the even from the Hilton and returns on the odds from just down from Piazza Venezia. It's just down from the stairs to Capitoline Hill. A very convenient spot. I think the last bus back from Rome is either 11 pm or 1 am. I know it's late for people wanting to spend some time doing the night life.

The bus is free. If you take the train it's about 10 Euro each way per person. 4o Euro round trip and you have to walk quite a distance to get to and from the hotel from the train. The bus picks you up in front of the hotel and is air conditioned.

All of the hotels at the airport (the Sheraton and Holiday Inn) have this service.

It's really a wonderful service. We've stayed there many times because we stay at the Hilton for the last night since we always have an early morning flight.

Correction: That would be "40 Euro round trip for two people using the train"

Thanks, Ann1. It's good to know that the last bus runs late.
