Right bank hotel close to Metro

I'm looking for suggestions for a hotel on the Right Bank, basically across from the Notre Dame Cathedral. We want to be within a block of a Metro stop, as we'll be carrying our luggage to/from the train. Hoping to spend around $160 US a night. Is that possible? any suggestions?

There is one which meets all your requirements; it's the Britannique, 20 ave. Victoria. One block from Chatelet metro and very near Ile de la Cite. A bit further away from Notre Dame but near the Hotel de Ville metro there are a number of hotels. Try the Bourg Tibourg or Caron de Beaumarchais. This is a very busy and noisy area so be prepared!

Britanique is good but only a little further is Grand Hotel Champagne and it's actually got a closer metro stop. I think they're both about the same price range. GH Champagne or Hotel Grand Champagne (forget which) is on Rue Jean Lantier, a very quiet street but with Chatelet metro station only a block and a half away.

i agree with the britannique. a very cute small hotel. very convenient to the charelet metro which i think is the center of the metro system and has trains to just about anywhere.

warning, the britanique does not have air conditioning

http://www.hotel-britannic.com/
The Chatalet station may give you lots of lines, but be forewarned that is is huge and takes considerable time to get through.
