Restaurant between Munich and Innsbrook
My wife and I are traveling to Innsbrook after Christmas. We are flying into Munich and are looking for a nice place to eat lunch after picking up a rental car at the airport. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks,

It would depend on what route you want to take and how long after you get the car you will want to eat. For example, if you want to to see Neuschwantstein and Hohenschwangau castles on the way, I could recommend a place in Hohenschwangau about 1-1/2 or 1-3/4 hours driving time from Munich.
If you want to take the more direct route or eat right after you get your rental car, then I'll defer to someone else

I am with Rufus on this: You need to decide which route you take.
Actually: Are we talking about the Austrian town of Innsbruck here or is this a misspelling of the Florida Golf Resort of Innisbrook
?
Should it be the Austrian town, you might want to consider Hotel Fuerstenhaus in Pertisau on Achensee. It is lakeshore on a very nice lake. It is about 2 hours from MUC and 45 min. to one hour from InnsBRUCK.
Should you mean the Florida Golf Resort be warned: It is a long drive that will involve taking some ferries. There might be a nice place for lunch on the Canary islands, though...;-)

After flying all night to Munich, you will be jetlagged after picking up your rental car the same morning. Might I suggest spending the first night in Munich and then taking off the following morning.
Either way, I would just "wing it." You'll be surprised what you'll stumble over. If I'm not mistaken, it's not more than a 2 to 2 1/2 drive to your destination. Have a cold one for me.

Unlike a previous poster, I see no problem with renting a car after you arrive and driving for a reasonable distance. It's one of the best ways to get over your jet lag.
The Pertisau recommendation by a previous poster is a good one, but my favorite is the village of Rottach-Egern on the Tegernsee. I can't remember any restaurant names, but there are quite a few nice places to eat in the village. It's an upscale sort of place, with fine shops too. Good luck.

Wayne's suggestion of eating somewhere in Rottach- Egern at Tegernsee lake is also very good indeed. Just stroll along and you will come across some nice places. Also on Tegernsee, but in the village of Tegernsee, there is the Brauhaus (brewery), which is rather cheap but not bad at all.
Overall, Rottach- Egern and Tegernsee are on the same route that will take you via the Achensee lake (with aforementioned Pertisau) to Innsbruck, but not Innisbrook...;-)

If you plan on taking the #A8 from Munich toward Rosenheim and connect onto the #A12 to Innsbruck, we can recommend a great tavern in Kufstein, Austria. ( Kufstein is about 50 miles from Munich on your route to Innsbruck.)
The restaurant/tavern, which is attached to an inn of the same name, is the Auracher Lochl. It is located at the base of the Kufstein Castle, on a narrow street which parallels the river. The inn has a web site, and the innkeeper along with the desk staff speak excellent English. You can call for directions, but all that is really necessary is to exit the Autoroute at the second Kufstein exit, cross the river, and the Auracher Lochl will be the first right turn into a narrow street after crossing the river bridge. The inn has its own parking spaces at the deadend of its street.
The tavern/restaurant is quinessential 17th century, storybook Austria with dark wooden walls and beams, cookie-cutter shutters at the windows, well worn wooden tables and benches, and hand-stoked fireplaces. The place couldn't be more cozy, plus the food is very good. They have some very unusal, homemade desserts---don't pass them by.
We realize there are several other routes you can use to reach Innsbruck from Munich, but the autoroute will be your "easiest" to navaigate after an all night flight, particularly if you have scheduled your first night stay in Innsbruck.
