residenza cellini
I'm going to Rome in June and I was very excited about the Residenza Cellini after all the positive comments. But the website availability inquiry dates only go through 2005. So I e-mailed them twice with no response. Are they still in business and maybe just full? Also, someone mentioned an "apartment" separate from the main B&B. There will be 5 of us, so that would be wonderful. Any suggestions for a comparable place if R Cellini is not available? Grazie!!

Actually it has a pull down but it only has 2006. We stayed there in October '06 and loved it. I would be shocked if they were no longer in business. Maybe you could call them. It's worth the effort. The number is 39 06 47825204. Good Luck.

EVERYONE loves Residenza Cellini. I'd booked there in 2003 but unfortunately we had to cancel that trip. When we finally got to go in 2005, they were the first hotel I called but unfortunately they were all booked up.
But if I ever get back to Rome...

There still in business. I am going there May 18 for a 5 night stay. I haven't had many problems with getting returned emails. IT's been a turn around about 48-72 hours tops. Check your spam box ..maybe you have some mail blocks up and it's going there.

We are also staying there in May. This is quite the popular place. We booked months ago and assume there is no problem.
That would be a good thing, because we already had a tense week when the French cruise ship was captured by pirates off Somalia a few weeks ago. We have been scheduled to take a cruise on that ship from Naples to Malta and didn't think it would be rescued in time. Luckily, it was.

We are going to Rome in April '09 and I've requested reservations at Residenza Cellini. First, I'd like to mention that they responded to an email question in less than 24 hours. Good first impression.
Regarding the rooms, I would like the opinion from someone who has stayed in a junior suite. Did you find the extra expense for a junior suite worth it? Was the room very large?
Thanks...Diane

Hi lovetotravel. Our suite was very large . We had friends staying there at the same time & their room was also large. It was our 3rd visit to Rome & Residenza Cellini is the nicest Hotel we have stayed in when in Rome & we would go back in a heart beat. They were opening up another floor not sure if that has happened as yet. We were there in May 2008.

Thanks, Trumps. I received confirmation this morning for two junior suites. They offer a discount if paying by cash, which we will do. Now I'm getting excited about our trip, but will have to be patient until April. Hoping the dollar continues to gain strength.
