Residenza Zanardelli ???

I have done a search on this hotel, and the comments are mostly three or more years old. Does anyone have comments from a recent stay? Thank You, Genie

Stayed there three or four years ago and location was perfect. Could walk everywhere. Don't suppose that's much help for now, is it?

If I were to return to Rome, I'd probably try and stay there, but no idea what's occurred since we were there.

My husband and I stayed last September. There is good and not so good, but I would stay again if needed. The location is excellent; close to Piazza Novona. You enter via a very large door (my husband felt like a wealthy Italian when entering)on the main street. Upon entering you arrive on the first floor which is a dark and garage-like (is that urine that I smell?). You will see steps going up and one of those old fashioned metal elevators. You will need to go upstairs either way to Residenza Zanardelli. When you arrive upstairs, the reception area is small and cozy but nice. We stayed twin which was behind the lobby desk. Tiny but adequate for our two night stay before heading home to the States. It was probably the tiniest room we have ever had; the bathroom was fine. The breakfast room was also tiny with one small community table ...maybe 6-8 people? If you like people, especially in the morning, before you have your coffee and are awake, then this is the place for you. Actually, forced into morning convivality, we did talk and get friendly with some folks from the midwest and shared tips. I would recommend this place for location and cost, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
