Rental Car - Drop Fee?
Hello,
Has anyone had an experience renting a car in Norway? We are trying to rent a car to drive up the coast, from Bergen to Narvik, and they want to charge us $900, plus an $800 Drop Fee, since we will be returning it to a different location. $1700 for 10 days?! Isn't that excessive?

Does AutoEurope tell you ahead of time what the drop off fee is? I've read the website and all it says is something to the effect that there may be other charges.
Try Budget- they don't charge a drop off fee. BTW I don't work for Budget, I just use them when I'm dropping off in different locations.

We contacted Autoeurope.com and were quoted a price of $733 for 11 days, including insurance. However, they sent a separate email confirming that the drop fee is 6100NOK equivalent to $985 USD. From Bergen to Narvik, all in Norway. I should buy a moped instead!
