Recommendations for hotels in Istanbul

We will be in Istanbul for 2 nights (May 7 to May 9) and we are a party of 6, 3 couples. Hotels seem really expensive. Any recommendations for hotels near the Blue Mosque that would run under $100 per night (preferably around $70)? We would need 3 rooms for 2 nights.

Thanks.

I stayed at the Askin Hotel, perfect location, very nice rooms, well within your budget. Right next door to the much more expensive Blue House Hotel and the finest view in the city from the rooftop breakfast tables. http://askinhotel.com/

You might check Lonely Planet Istanbul. I noticed quite a few hotels at reasonable prices in it. We booked the Ottoman Imperial for four nights in late May because of location and appeal-garden terrace, rooftop views, etc. Plus, they will provide free shuttle to pick us up at the airport.

Did you try to book Empress Zoe?

It gets rave reviews from Fodorites.

I reccommed Tashkonak Hotel. It is walking distance to Blue Mosque, St Sophia and topkapi Palace... It has garden and roof top restaurant with sea view
