Question about Hotel de la Motte Picquet upgrade

Does anyone know if they have included air conditioning to the guest rooms during their upgrade to 3 stars??
We are planning a stay for late May/early June. Is AC a must at that time of year for Paris??

Thanks

I don't know anything about this hotel except that it is in the same area I stay at while in Paris, but I can't imagine anyone needing AC in Paris in May or early June except in unusual circumstances.

I've seen the outside -- it's on the corner of rue Cler and ave de la Motte Picquet. I don't think it has AC or its web site would say so. The web site looks pretty clearly recent and after the update. no, AC is not a must at that time, I agree it would be rare to need it.

We've "checked out" this hotel for "future reference". Best bet is to phone re: air conditioning. Be advised that the rooms are charming but tres compact, even for Europe/Paris.

You just never know about whether you'll need AC in Paris. If you think you might, best to book a hotel with efficient AC.

Try Hotel Muguet.

When it was a 2 star under the management of Mme. Ireland this hotel was my Paris hotel of choice. In my discussion with her assistant, Danielle, we both agreed that the new owners were pushing it to upgrade it to 3 stars. It was a great value as a 2 star, but, as djkbooks noted, the rooms are small -- as are the hallways. Is it worth the new tarriff? No idea.

Sorry ,but I've been off this site for awhile. We stayed there last June (first week in 80's).No air and not worth the price. We visited a couple other nearby hotels and they were much better.
