Prague to Budapest Train Scam

FYI. In late May the three of us took train from Prague to Budapest (via Bratislava). Conductor (short and chubby) in Slovakia tried to make us cough up an extra $35 for some sort of Slovakian tax that he claimed was not covered by our train ticket that we bought at Prague train station. We knew his demand was ?fishy? since we had extensive train experience. Turned out his supervisor and two cops were on train. We talked to all of them and they ?persuaded? the conductor that we had a valid ticket. End of demand. So don?t cough up extra bucks if this happens to you! Other than this, all other railroad staff we encountered were professional and courteous!
