eger to budapest to prague

we are travelling from vienna to budapest and renting a car in budapest to drive to eger to meet friends. then its off to prgaue. i cant seem to figure out the best way to go to prague from eger. shoud i drop the car in buda and take a plane? train? or should i split the train ride between budapest vienna and the prague. or should i keep the car and drive to prague stopping in a small town along the say like sopron or gyor...HELP

Your questions are a bit vague and confusing.

Do you NEED to drive to Eger at all or could you take the train from Budapest?

You can easily get the train back from Eger to Budapest and then on to Prague.

I think it would be better to go back to Budapest and then to Prague as you like, by the train or a plane =)

yes i need to be in eger to visit a friend who lives in debrecan we are meeting there for two days but then are off to prague. i was just trying to decided if it is worth it to get to prague in one day and do an 8 hour train ride or to split it up and stay somewhere in between
