Prague Hotel

We'll be spending 3 days inPrague prior to a river cruise and need suggestions for the best reasonable hotels in the Old World section so we can be close to the sightseeing.
Thanks!

Reasonable could mean anything. What is your budget?

yeah, I have a feeling you aren't looking for hostels given the cruise thing.

We stayed at Pension Dietzenhofer twice and really enjoyed it. It is located in Mala Strana, on the castle side of the bridge, in a quiet area but only a 5-minute walk from Charles Bridge.

Here is the website to the hotel I stayed at last year.

It is 2 blocks from the Charles Bridge and in Old Town.

www.uzlatestudny.cz

It is a beautiful building and the rooms are very nice.

Breakfast was included.

We stayed in the Unitas Hotel this summer and loved it there. We had an enormous room/bathroom and furnishings were modern and new looking. Staff very helpful. It was maybe a 5-10 minute walk to Old Town Square. Room included one of the nicest buffet breakfasts I've had in a hotel. I know it was well under $200 a night.

Percy, your linky no worky.

There is no Old World section of Prague, you mean Old Town. You could stay at U Tri Pstrosu, Bishop's House, Na Kampa or U Zlatych Nuzek all of which are close to Old Town on the Mala Strana side or on Kampa Island.

Hi:

I do not know why it does not work.

But if you go to Google and type in www.uzlatestudny.cz it will take you there.

It is a lovely place. I booked a suite because it was only a few dollars more than a room.

I do not think I said "Old World"...in my posting I said "2 blocks from the Charles Bridge and in Old Town".

I agree U Tri Pstrosu ( The Three Ostriches) is a a nice place.

When Climbed the Charles Bridge Tower in the Little Quarter ( or Lesser Town) side ,I was looking almost over the roof of the Three Ostriches.

You may pay a bit more but it is nice to be right downtown so to speak.

It's been a few years, but we stayed at the Hotel Rott and really enjoyed it. Nice hotel and great location.
