Donnai, Can't help you, but will be curious as to answers you get. My hubby and I will possibly be in Prague for about 4-days during my spring break in April. I'm looking for suggestions for hotels/sites. Also, what can we expect for weather at that time.

simpson,
According to www.worldclimate.com the average temp. in Prague in April is 48 degrees and the rainfall 1.4 inches.
Have fun, we will be there a week after you, please take the rain home with you.

Thanks for the info mcgeezer. If I get to Frankfurt and the temps seem a bit chilly, we may head south. But I'm really hoping to see a bit of Prague and Berlin for something new.

I'm a native Southern Californian so anything below 60 in the daytime seems unhumanly cold. I'll be bringing lots of layers.

I'm from west central Illinois! Right now we have about 8 inches of snow on the ground. Temps have been hovering in the 20's and don't seem to be going UP much. When I go on spring break, I'm usually looking for a break from the winter chill. There have been times when I've gone to Germany and it has been gorgeous with lots of flowers in bloom at spring break time. Then again, I've seen the largest snowflakes anywhere, looking out my hotel window in Stuttgart! I'll just hope for the best... and will hopefully enjoy Berlin and Prague this year.

We stayed at the Hotel Meteor (Best Western) it is a very short walk from the old town, through the arch by the Opera House. In fact the only place we didn't walk was to the Castle! log onto the Best Western site and I think they have at least six hotels. The one we wanted was booked but that also was right outside the old town.
