We were there last July and I have to say I was VERY grateful for a.c. It was quite warm and it was a relief to know that we could take brief breaks in our room and it proved especially important for getting a good night's sleep.
We stayed at Buca di Bacco and LOVED it. Hope this helps.
D

Judy,

Villa La Tartana is new, so I believe that they have airconditioning. I stayed there 2 weeks ago and really liked it, but it is near the beach with no view of the town of Positano, so you miss the twinkling lites at night from your window/balcony. The plus is that you are a stone's throw from the ferry landing to Amalfi and Capri.

Thank you Dee Ann I'm quite concerned not to have airconditioning. Kiki loved what you had to say about your trip, I might print it up, very useful. I' m still deciding between the La Fenice and Villa LaTartana, we will have a car so I'm not sure how access for parking will be,comments?

I was there last July and though I am not usually a person who uses alot of air-conditioning I was so thankful to have it. It was really hot there and I would have been uncomfortable without it.
