Porto's Ribeira: are there any decent restaurants with a view?

Greetings!

I'm looking for a place for a nice lunch hopefully with a view of the bridge and Vila Nova de Gaia. I understand that Ribeira is a very touristy place. Just wanted to check if there are any nice restaurants in that area that I should check out?

Thank you!

I remember that area as being a very pleasant place to visit, not totally “touristy”.

Ask your Porto hotel to make a reservation for you or call them from US.

Or you could send them a message on their Facebook page.

If you're also interested in having a gourmet dinner in the Ribeira district in a charming, atmospheric spot with beams and exposed stone walls (but no expansive river/Gaia views), I can recommend the Ode Porto Wine House. It's also on Largo de Terreiro, open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday (closed Sun/Mon) for lunch Friday/Saturday only and bookable on The Fork.

We ate at Fish Fixe a few years ago, thought it was terrific. Great octopus, if that is appealing. Porto is a beautiful city, and the Ribiera is a magnificent place,

We had a couple great meals at Monchique, on the waterfront but a bit out of the tourist fray.
