Pompeii and Mt.Vesuvius tours

Ive been searching for a full day tour to Pompeii and Mt.Vesuvius but havent found exactly what im looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions? My friend and i will be staying a week in Positano in the month of October. Im looking for a tour that can pick us up from there as opposed to us traveling to Naples or some other city to start our tour. (Yep,its official, im a lazy bum)

I don't know how much you're willing to spend, but any of the driving companies pick you up and take you wherever you want to go. We used Renato Cuomo (cuomonet.it) and he also arranged for the private guide at Pompeii, who was extra. You can also check Francesco Marrapese, who also gets good reviews.

VS - There are several Amalfi- and Sorrento-based bus tour companies which offer a Pompeii/Vesuvius tour.

The Amalfi-based ones might pick up in Positano. Try:

http://www.sunland.it/eng/escursioni_pompei.asp

For the Sorrento-based ones I think you'd have to get to a pickup point in Sorrento or Meta.

Hope this helps ...

Google Vatican Tours and Beyond. We used them from Rome for many trips and loved them.
