Please suggest cheap hotel in Bruges

Hi, we leave in just a few weeks now and we're compiling all our information. I'm looking for a hotel in Bruges for under 70 Euros. Can anyone recommend anything. Location is the most important thing to us.

You're going to have trouble finding something. Bruges is very busy this year as Europes Cultural Capital 2002. We had trouble in Feb. finding something for May. That said, try Hotel 't Koffieboontje, just of the main square.

Hi Natasha,

Try Hotel Cordoeanier (www.cordoeanier.be). I booked it for 62 Euro/night double (leaving next week) and its about a minute walk from the Markt. I heard about the hotel on this site and it looks just fine for us!

Or try - http://www.hotels-belgium.com/brugge/hotels.htm

In any event - you will have fun!

We stayed at Hotel Jacobs in Brugge and cannot say enough good things about it. Quiet neighborhood, 10 minute stroll to central square, immaculately clean, helpful front desk, English spoken, good buffet breakfast, on-street parking, a short cab ride from rail station. If we were to return, it would be our choice once more.

Hotel Ensor was where we stayed last march and it was about 65 euros. Ten minute walk from train, ten minutes from main squares, on a canal, quiet neighborhood and the most wonderful breakfast. Rooms were very simple but clean. Has a web site.

I stayed at Cordeanier this year and it was basic but not even close to falling to my gross out factor range. It is a good location and includes a basic breakfast. I would recommend it for the budget traveler.

Be sure you are traveling light. The narrow staircase up can be a killer.

I stayed at the Cordoeanier in April. It is certainly no frills, but clean and in an extremely convenient (yet quiet) location.
