Hi
Elaine and others FYI re Pensione Panda. In another thread someone kindly posted the new web address - http://www.hotelpanda.it.
Scissors, my next door neighbours stayed at the Panda on recommendation from their daughter. They were very happy with it.
Cheers

I second Powell's suggestion of the Hotel Teatro Di Pompeo. We stayed there for a week in August. The location is excellent, the room was a reasonable size and very clean (with AC, fridge and hairdryer) and breakfast was good and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. We didn't ask for restaurant recommendations, but I think we would have got them had we done so. Unfortunately, the restaurant a couple of doors away - Teatro di Pompeo - was closed in August, but it has great recommendations on this site. The hotel is about 30 seconds walk from the Campo di Fiori and about 8 minutes from the Piazzo Navona. We walked everywhere except to the Vatican and we took a bus there.
