Are you talking about the Pension Pertschy in Vienna?
I stayed there a couple of weeks ago and a double room was 105 euro a night including breakfast.
What kind of rooms are they exactly and what are the total rates? It's too hard to compare without more information.
The Pertschy has a fantastic location, don't know anything about the Fuerstehof.

Hi Kristina,
I've been enjoying your blog!
Yes, Pension Pertschy in Vienna. I don't know too much detail about the room. They've offered "a double room with two sleep sofas" for our 2 girls. The rate quoted was 168 E. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

I stayed at Pension Pertschy a few years ago (w/ husband and daughter) in a triple room. THe location was great- around the corner from the Graben- and the room was comfortable, clean and had a kitzch quality. Breakfast was excellent. Also, the people were very pleasant.

Mo-You might want to check with them and make sure this is not one of their "apartments". Those may be more than a regular room.
I think the room we had might have been a triple too but it might work for you needs depending on the size/age of your kids. I took some photos of the room, they're not great, but I'll post them on my blog for you.
Look at the Vienna post called "Location, Location, Location" and they will be there.

Kristina,
I went ahead and booked it. I'm sure we will love it and for our first 2 nights in Europe, we deserve a splurge!
I'm shocked, however, to find how booked everything already is for June/July. I've just tried the Hotel Batory in Krakow and they're full for our dates (July 5-8)! (Sorry change of thread there).
I'll look forward to seeing your pics online.

Fuerstenhof is excellent, very few tourists, great staff, and huge buffet breakfast. U-bahn is right across the street so you can be in city center in less than 10 min. it is also a nice walk down Mariahilferstrasse to the downtown area. I think they still offer 10% off for booking online.
