Paris weather
We are going to be in paris the last 15 days of September (hey, that is this month already)We have found weather sites but cannot find a forcast that far out that tells more than daily highs and lows. What is humidity like is Paris in the fall? I am packing a blazer, a rollup raincoat and a light cotton jacket. Should that about cover the evening requirements? Should I pack long sleeve or short shirts?

I have never seen a forecast that far ahead, but there is a good Paris weather section on the Paris Pages (www.paris.org) that gives monthly averages for precipitation.
http://www.paris.org:/Accueil/Climate/

In general, Paris is not particularly humid in September IMO. Your list sounds fine to me for the outerwear. I would pack some of both longsleeve and shortsleeve shirts, I always do because it's never that predictable (and should definitely be cooler in the evenings to need long-sleeves, even if not in the day time). I don't consider Paris extremely humid ever, even in summer, but I suppose that depends on your comparison (I live in Wash DC).

check out www.wunderground.com or www.weather.com. They will give you forecasts several days out.

Janice, Humidity and wind speed are integral parts of the "heat index" which is the "feels like" temperature. A 75 degree-F day at 55% RH is very comfortable. However the same 75 degree-F day at 85% RH can be downright stiffling.
The reverse applies in cold weather. a 30 degree-F day at 50% is tolerable, at 10% RH is comfortable but at 90% RH can freeze you butt off.
We reside (survive) in North FL and the humidity most of the time is oppressive. If you have never lived in a place with high humidity you would probably have no idea how humidity affects the "feels like" temp.

We'll be going next month and I guess we'll be packing clothes for both warm and cool weather as Paris weather is unpredictible. I suppose it'll be like being at home: San Francisco. One day, such as today, it's 80 degrees, but by the middle of the week it'll be 62 degrees. The same thing with the shoes-pack for cold and warm weather.

you're welcome on the web site -- because I live in Wash DC I KNOW humidity does affect the feel (I used to live in California and still miss that weather). Anyway, I was there in September once, and that time, I definitely wore a long-sleeve cotton turtleneck or silk sweater at times, and in the evenings, I had a lightweight jacket which would be about blazer-weight, probably (really about the weight of sweatshirt material). It was a little cooler than I had expected, and partly, remember it gets dark a lot earlier then which affects the feel, also. I think I also took a lightweight trenchcoat.
