Paris transportation

The big day is finally here. In less than 13 hours I will be on a flight to Paris! I couldn't be more excited! I still don't know enough French, but I'm not going to worry. Why worry? I'm going to Paris!!!!!! I just had to share with you guys. I'm going to eat my way into a coma, wake up and do it all again. I love being a cook, and this is going to ROCK!

I'm so excited I forgot something. I'm staying near the avenue Marceau and have no idea how to get from CDG to that area. I don't have a lot of luggage, but I'd rather not take the netro. Any ideas on taking the bus of shuttle? Also I want to buy a week pass for the metro. Is there a station at the airport, or do I have to go elsewhere? thanks for yoru info. I'm going to Paris! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

savah, how wonderful! Be careful, Paris can be a life-changing experience. Don't worry about your French, you will be able to get by.

If you don't want to take a cab, the best way is to take the Air France bus. You'll see signs all over CDG for Cars Air France. Take the one that goes to Charles De Gaulle-Etoile. One of the streets off of the Etoile is avenue Marceau. If you don't have much luggage and the weather is nice, you could walk it. I not, you can get a cab from Etoile to where you are staying.

Do a search for your hotel on www.pagesjaunes.fr, and you will see where it is in proximity to av. Marceau.

Bon voyage.

The Air France bus to Place Charles de Gaulle will drop you just a few steps away from avenue Marceau.

Savah-
Have a wonderful time, it will be magical. Please eat a pain au chocolat for me. Not one but two and you must eat a crepe on the street also. YUM!
I haven't been back there in a few years and I am itching to go shortly.
