Paris transportation
The big day is finally here. In less than 13 hours I will be on a flight to Paris! I couldn't be more excited! I still don't know enough French, but I'm not going to worry. Why worry? I'm going to Paris!!!!!! I just had to share with you guys. I'm going to eat my way into a coma, wake up and do it all again. I love being a cook, and this is going to ROCK!

I'm so excited I forgot something. I'm staying near the avenue Marceau and have no idea how to get from CDG to that area. I don't have a lot of luggage, but I'd rather not take the netro. Any ideas on taking the bus of shuttle? Also I want to buy a week pass for the metro. Is there a station at the airport, or do I have to go elsewhere? thanks for yoru info. I'm going to Paris! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

savah, how wonderful! Be careful, Paris can be a life-changing experience. Don't worry about your French, you will be able to get by.
If you don't want to take a cab, the best way is to take the Air France bus. You'll see signs all over CDG for Cars Air France. Take the one that goes to Charles De Gaulle-Etoile. One of the streets off of the Etoile is avenue Marceau. If you don't have much luggage and the weather is nice, you could walk it. I not, you can get a cab from Etoile to where you are staying. Do a search for your hotel on www.pagesjaunes.fr, and you will see where it is in proximity to av. Marceau. Bon voyage. |
The Air France bus to Place Charles de Gaulle will drop you just a few steps away from avenue Marceau.

Savah-
Have a wonderful time, it will be magical. Please eat a pain au chocolat for me. Not one but two and you must eat a crepe on the street also. YUM! I haven't been back there in a few years and I am itching to go shortly. |
