PARIS HOTEL

In the charming St. Germain area, (left bank), are several boutique hotels that are very nice. One is the Hotel de Fleurie - great little place, family run in a great location - just off the Blvd. St. Germain, but not terribly noisy. Try them at www.hotel-de-fleurie.fr. Also, the Hotel d'Aubusson in the same area. A little more upscale than the Fleurie, but more amenities, etc. if that's what's important to you. You may have trouble with a triple, as boutique hotels in France aren't used to accommodating that, however, some have "family rooms" for three and some even have "roll aways" available. Price for the Fleurie is around $200 US, or a little lower, for the Aubusson it's a little higher, around $225 - $250 but worth every penny. Enjoy!

For three in a room you couldn't really beat the Best Western Hotel Left Bank. It is in the 6th very near Odeon Metro stop, towards the river, by rue Buci. The rooms have two beds (together or separate) as well as a full sized day bed. The rooms are beautifully done with toile upholstered walls and some rough exposed beams. You will still have room to move about, not like the usual extra bed wedged into the room. The baths are also very nicely done, and the hotel is even air-conditioned if you are going in the summer.

I've looked into some of the hotels that offer triple rooms. I agree with Patrick's suggestion of the Hotel Left Bank St. Germain. For around 229 euro at most (specials in summer around 191 euro)including a cold buffet breakfast, I think it's a great rate for staying in the heart of St. Germain!
