It receives good reviews from people who have stayed there, as long as you keep in mind it's not a "French" hotel - more an American hotel in Paris.
Paris Hilton (4 star left bank)-
a big, modern hotel
a "Hilton"
great amenities
no charm
good for business travelers
We enjoyed staying here
too far from central area
kind of a cold place, no warmth
thoroughly enjoyed the experience
The bathrooms are marble with all amenities.
Staff is fabulous and very American-friendly.
Had a fine time
smiling friendly hotel staff.
would prefer a more central location
I highly recommend it for a stay to anyone.
OUr room was immaculately maintained
Completely refurbished
our room was large, for Paris
concierges were excellent
housekeeping, outstanding.
it was just ok.
like any other hotel I have ever stayed at in America.
For more Paris information go to www.anamericaninparis.com

I've a friend who stayed there with his wife because they were cashing in "points." He said they really missed the ambiance of a little 2-star place in the 7th they usually stayed at when going to Paris for previous vacations. They even thought about checking out of the Hilton for their last night, but transfers had already been arranged and they had an early AM departure.

Of course, it's entirely up to you. However, I'm with the latter poster's friend and would use my points, if I had any, elsewhere. The Paris Hilton strikes me as one of the ugliest buildings in the entire city, and is utterly lacking in either elegance or charm. (Do a Google search, if you've not done so already, to pull up some websites with photos.)

The area is not exactly remote, but not in much of a neighborhood, either. And there are so many good small hotels in Paris which are inexpensive and actually remind you that you are there!
