We have just been watching the most amazing heat lightning show from a bank of clouds to the northeast of Basel. Stunning flashes of light, not bolts, but waves of light turning the whole cloud system bright white for a flash, then immediately turning back into black night. To the south, the skies are clear and full ot stars.
Some say heat lightning is a way of letting you know a storm is coming and if you look at the radar right now, they could be right
