Paris airport transportation from CDG

Author: roosevelt

We will be travelling on Friday, April 11 from CDG to our hotelK&K Cayre on Blvd. Raspail. I am interested in the best, most affordable way to travel. My son tells me that he thinks the Metro won't let him see Paris. Should we be taking the Paris shuttle and booking this before we leave the US? I just want to make the arrival transportation easy. We will just have carry on bags and are happy to take public transportation also. None of us speak French so I am happy for someone to spell out the appropriate toute to take. Thanks.

Hi R,

>My son tells me that he thinks the Metro won't let him see Paris.

Well, he will have at least a couple of days after arrival.

www.ratp.fr says to take the RER B to Chatelet and transfer to the Metro Line 4 to the Rue du Bac stop.

This will be about 10E pp.

A shuttle will be abut 18E pp.

A shuttle will be easier.

Enjoy your visit.

A relaxing way to travel from the airport that lets you see the city is the Air France bus from CDG. I believe there is one that goes to Gare de Lyon, and from there you could take a taxi or the metro. Sorry I don't have the site info available, but I am sure you can find it - just type in Cars Air France (a "Car" is a tourist bus).

If not seeing Paris on the Métro is an issue, consider the Roissybus that terminates at Opéra where you can get on city buses to your hotel. 8.60€ IIRC.

We use the city buses almost exclusively for the advantages they offer.
