Orvieto and southern Tuscany restaurants?

Hi all - for part of our honeymoon we will be staying in southern Tuscany for 8 days (in Manciano) and plan on exploring central/north Tuscany during the day (San Gimignano, Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino).

However, the majority of our dinners will be in the southern towns we want to explore (Orvieto, Pitigliano, Santo Stefano, Porto Ercole, Orbetello, Saturnia, Montefiasone, Scansano, Sorano, Scarlino, Sovana, Magliano, Monte Merano).

We are looking for some restaurant suggestions in any of these southern towns, especially Orvieto, Pitigliano, Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole.

Thank you so much!

I agree with you about Sette Consoli but don't miss the underground restaurant Il Labirinto, a nice table just in the cave. Then for an unforgettable appetizer try the Champagneria Orvieto...wow...Have a good trip

Looks like I will be going to I Sette Consoli! Do I need reservations or can I walk in? Is it casual or more 'dressy'?

You didn't say when you were going, but we went in early April. We did make reservations but didn't really need them.

I would just to be safe...you don't want to miss out! We went for lunch and were casually dressed, as were the other diners.
