Neuschwanstein area - where to stay?

If you are looking for B&B type lodging with a view of Neuschwanstein and very reasonable pricing - one such place is the Gästehaus Weiher. The Weiher sits just below the castle in the small village of Hohenschwangau. Over the past two decades Frau Oswald has changed the name of her place from Pension Weiher to Haus Weiher to now Gästehaus Weiher - probably has something to do with taxes based on lodging categories. But it is still the same wonderful house and a great place to stay near the castles which are just a short walk away. Also want to throw in a recommendation for Hotel Sonne in Fuessen - stayed there in late April and highly recommend. www.hotel-sonne.de
It definitely wasn't overrun with tourists while we were there, but it's a touristy area of Germany in general.
(check out Linderhof while in the area for sure.)
