Need Help with Paris Apartment Decision

Okay well on another thread I had other apartments listed and the winner of that poll was already booked for our June 10th arrival so back to the drawing board. Our anniversary is June 13th and we want to be in Paris for that. A lot of these don't have A/C but we were in Prague and Austria last year at about the same time and it wasn't a problem. Wasn't sure how warm Paris gets in June?

Here are my top 5 choices:
1. http://www.rentparis.com/appart-en-30.html (I really like this one)
2. http://www.rentparis.com/appart-en-1.html (no square footage on this one)
3. http://www.parisbestlodge.com/bourg.html
4. http://www.rentparis.com/appart-en-29.html (the biggest on list)
5. http://rentparis.com/appart-en-35.html

Here are 2 more but just not in my top picks:
6. http://vacationinparis.com/apts/id_115.htm (just doesn't look as nice but it's a nice size)
7. http://www.parisvacationapartments.c...totstudio.html (in the 18th and really didn't want to stay out that far, wanted to be in closer distance of major sites)

I'm open to all opinions as far as location, price, company. These are basically in the same price range so that's not really an issue. Please vote for your faves, I'm keeping a poll on these.

Thanks so much!! Hopefully this time the winners won't be taken.

Hi littlehouse, one of the nice things about rentparis is that you can view availability. Did you notice that your #4 listing is already booked for next summer? Your #1 choice, and as you know I am renting the same one, is quickly following suit, with the summer weeks filling up quickly. I know how you feel about the decision, but I did feel better after I jumped in and made one (well, I felt better a couple of days later).

Hi littlehouse - A number of your apartments ended up on my shortlist leading up to our June trip! VIP 115 was on our very short list, but we ended up not taking it because we are a family of four and wanted to try and avoid sofa beds. I got such positive feedback about the location, and about vacationinparis as an organization, that it was the last 'sofa bed' apartments to stay on our list.

I can only speak as a fellow "researcher" and not an actual Paris visitor (yet!) but based on the feedback I got about many of those same apartments (and organizations), I think they all sound good (that is the problem though isn't it!). I agree with arewethereyet - it was an amazing feeling once I had actually made the decision and picked one! Any 'cons' on my list about the final choice just melted away once it became "my apartment"! I say, book whichever of those is available, and if the 'one you love' isn't available, you will be just as happy with the next one!

Hi littlehouse- I've only had experience with parisbestlodge and it was all positive.

Thierry, the owner, responded quickly to all my inquiries and was very friendly and helpful.

The Bourg-Tibourg apartment had everything we needed and we loved the location.

The shower was wonderful(big shower head, good water pressure and can easily fit 2 people).

There are several travel books in different languages, and the computer has other helpful information listed.

The little balcony doesn't have a spectacular view(just the backs of other apartments), but we still enjoyed having breakfast out on it.

Rue Bourg Tibourg is a quaint little street with a franprix supermarket across the street and eveything else you could want or need either in the street or around the corner.

We loved walking past Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame every day and the little Place Bourg Tibourg with all of it's cafes.

It is a studio, but the bed was comfortable and we had plenty of space for the 2 of us (there's also a cupboard to hang clothes and store suitcases).

It was very easy renting this apartment with Paris Bestlodge and I would rent from Thierry again.

Kaz,
Thanks so much for your response but I got an email back from Thierry and all their apartments are booked for the time we'll be there. So I guess we'll be going with one from rentparis

You'll be in Paris in June! You won't be spending all that much time in your apt, and all of your choices are within easy distance of some great areas.

They all look really good and might even get snatched up the sooner because of this post.

(I plan to keep your list for my future reference, wouldn't poach.)

Stoke--
Thanks so much for your advice. I went ahead and booked the 2nd choice because it was cheaper but still had everything we needed. My hubby was really glad it had a king size bed. I got an email from rentparis and they let me know the apt's footage so it wasn't that much different from the rest.

Thanks also to everyone else for their help. You're the best!!!!

That apartment looks terrific - doesn't it feel good being able to focus your planning now on with a specific starting point! I will keep my eyes peeled for you in Paris in June

I have stayed in your #2 choice (40 rue Chapon). It is very small.

I should have mentioned that the vacation in Paris #125 is lovely. Ideal for two people.

Thanks Seafox but Apt 125 was already booked for our dates. It was our first choice.

Seafox,
Yeah I know it's small but it had everything we needed--big bed, kitchenette, washer/dryer so we'll make do. It can't be any smaller than some of the hotel rooms we've stayed in on our Europe trips.

I'd love any recommendations as far as dining and shopping in that area. How far was the metro from the apartment?
Thanks so much,
Amy

It's a short walk to the Metro ...maybe 3 to 5 minutes. There are sme great place to eat.

1. Try the aligot at "Ambassade d'Auvergne" just around the corner

www.ambassade-auvergne.com

2. Also there is a great Basque place on "Rue Reamour: "Au Bascou"

3, Try "404" fro great Morrocan food on Rue Gravelliers

By the by I could ot get the VCR to work - I wanted to watch a "tourist video" in the apartment - ask them to show you how it works. Also, if you have not used a european washer/ dryer as them for specific instructions - and plan a bout 6 hours per load (seriously)
