Need help From People in Vienna/Has been to Vienna
I am visiting Vienna in February. And I would also love to visit Prague, do you think I should take one day out to explore Prague on a daytrip? And could you tell me an estimate of time/duration and cost of travel? Thank you!

It's about a 4 hour train ride from Vienna to Prague, so do you want to spend 8 hours traveling in one day? I would think that you might want to stay overnight a couple of days. Otherwise, your time is taken up with the train, not the city.
Never been to Prague, but Vienna is wonderful!

i think prague is worth more than a few hours, however.. it is magical and if you think you will never be back... might be exciting. would be great if yo could stay over at least one night though.
vienna needs about three days or two nights at least, imho.

Prague is worth 3 or 4 days at a minimum - I would never consider just a small part of one day. In fact, given the choice (and I've been to Prague 3 times and Vienna 5) I wold definitely do Prague rather than Vienna if you have time for only one.

Just a little extra inro - As I said I've been to Vienna, but I didn't mention that we went twice. Total of about 12 days and still haven't seen it all. How can one see a city in 2-3 days? After the usual tourist sites, it's nice to just wander and get a real flavor and explore other neighborhoods.
