A month in Italy, our last night will be in Milan. Want some Italian food to remember!

Need easy to get to from Duomo...short taxi or v near a subway stop. ( We are tired travellers!!)
Prefer small...price high or low...just great classic food!
Thanks!!

Reporting in... we went to Nabucco.. The food was very good overall-- they really know how to roast some meat! It was just the kind of place we were looking for, so thanks. The servers were super friendly, but seemed quite overworked our night and we got pretty terrible service. Still... the food was great and a lovely neighborhood.
BTW... the night we arrived, fairly late, we just wanted something casual near our hotel by the Duomo. We googled and searched a bit and found Salsamentaria de Parma. We gave it a go and, despite being really near the Galleria, it was fantastic and reasonable. Pasta was great and very much like our fave place in Parma. Parma ham and cheese were top quality. But best of all, the fried polenta (with various toppings... we had salami) was one of the best things I ate on our month in Italy.

I like Nabucco if I'm with a group of my friends. With my husband, we preferred the more intimate Osteria del Batti Batti on Corso Garibaldi, but I hear it's now closed. 🙁 Our second choice was the Japanese resto Temakinho, also on Corso Garibaldi. Lots of fun, always busy.
Leely, enjoy the neighborhood! The Carlyle is a decent hotel. Not the greatest but it's the best choice in this fab location. Hope you have time to poke around the little streets etc.
