Need a 'budget' hotel with family room in Paris for 3 nights.
I'm having some trouble finding one in my budget which is 100 Euros and under,it's for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 2 & 4), so i'm hoping someone can help me here.I was hoping to stay somewhere right in Paris with a few of the main sights within walking distance.
Thank you

Try the Hotel Esmeralda. Ask for a family room; some have a wonderful view of Notre Dame. Not sure if you can book on line, but here's the address and telephone:
2, Rue Cloître Notre Dame
75004 Paris, France
+33 1 43 29 54 93
The building dates from the 17th c; the hotel is inexpensive and charming depending on your tolerance for idiosyncratic plumbing. There's a nice little park across the street.

No personal experience, but you can check comments at Tripadvisor... Ask the hotel if a Triple would fit your needs, either the little ones share a bed, or you make a pallet for 2-yr old, or a small cot is provided?
At Montparnasse, so probably not walking distance:

Near the Pantheon, just a tad over your budget:

When are you going. Price changes dramatically by season. Look at laterooms.com. Put in 2 +2 persons and search that way. Do not worry so much about location and walking. The Metro and bus cover all of the city very well. You might want to look at an apt. How long are you staying? At 100E per night, apts. can be cheaper. You will not have the Tower view, but this apt. is around 300-350E per week. With insurance and cleaning fee, it is still under 400E. http://locationparis9.canalblog.com/
They do not have ac but do have heat.

I just re-read your post and realized that you wanted 3 nights. Laterooms.com is still an option. Apt. will not work for such a short time. Sorry. Etap, Ibis and Hotelformule1 are cheap hotels in Paris. Hotelformule1 has bath down the hall. Etap and Ibis are ensuite. 2 beds, bunk bed setup for both. All are memebers of the accorhotels.com chain. I found one =-http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-6950-all-seasons-paris-lafayette-opera/index.shtml. It is at Opera, which is in the middle of Paris and under 100E per night. You might want to call/email them and see about children accommodations.

this is a thread that is a few months old, but had some good information. *note: we were 5 people instead of 5*
I would recommend finding either an apartment or a place with a kitchenette... I find it makes all the difference in the world.
what about Citadines ? they can accommodate 4 people and are in convenient places and have a kitchenette...
When are you going ? If it is low season, you may talk an apartment into doing it for you...

Whatever you do, stay away from the Hotel Esmeralda. What a pit! It's not charming, it's filthy.
Check out the Hôtel de France, 102 Boulevard de la Tour Maubourg, in the 7ème. They have quad rooms for about your budget. Also look into apartments. As mentioned, Citadines are all over and will rent for less than a week.

I think the Hotel de France might be one of the few possibilities in that budget, which is just extremely low for wanting a quad. Citadines would be fine but I think are much more expensive than that, even for two people, let alone four. I think their rate is around 200 euro a night.
I don't know even budget hotels in that price range, but this is one I know of by reputation and location and sight from the outside that does have budget rooms for a family of four:

It is a good location being near Luxembourg Gardens, for children, although not near a metro stop (but is very near the RER B Luxembourg/Port Royal stop, and some buses). They do have quads at about 115-120 euro if you get a special online rate.

Hotel de Maubeuge is a decent budget hotel close to Gare du Nord with quads.

It is still a bit above your budget, but 100 euros a night for a quadruple room is probably not enough.

I have stayed at the above-mentioned Hotel Excelsior in the 5th and the Hotel de Tourisme in the 7th as well. The Tourisme was an excellent hotel, superbly managed, clean and tastefully decorated rooms and public areas. Although the five rooms we booked were twins, I was unaware they had any large rooms. If they do and the price is right, I highly recommend it.
The Excelsior was a pleasant stay from a personnel standpoint, but it was over a disco which didn't stop until 6am each morning, and there were many large student tour groups staying there. Breakfast, though included, was of a very low standard. All pre-packaged type foods.
