Motorcycle Rental and Ride from Prague to Italy

Does anyone know of an agency that will rent adventure motorcycles for pickup in one country and return in another. We are looking to pick them up in Prague and drive through Germany, Austria and into Italy for drop off from May 19 - May 27th. Please let me know if anyone has any good advice on how best to accomplish this. Thanks!

If you rented a car with that itinerary there would be a surcharge of more than a few hundred dollars to get the car back to the Czech Republic. Given that many people want cars and few people want motorcycles, I'd say you need to keep planning.

You can start by emailing this company which I found with a simple Google search:

A few hundred dollars???? You must be kidding, it's going to cost a lot more than that for a one-way rental. How did you even come up with that figure, someone is either going to have to truck them back to the CR, or ride them (I doubt), but either way you are talking transportation costs plus personnel costs for all that time. Prague to Florence alone is about a 12 hour drive and could require an overnight stay which has accommodation costs, also.

Well, IMO, you don't know the cost of anything until you ask the company offering the service.

I once planned a three-week motorcycle trip in France. It turned out to be easier and cheaper to ship my own bike there and back. In the end, I didn't do it, though.

No you can't, small matter of tax and insurance apart from anything else.

The link says special tarriffs for groups and about €850 one way fee to Milan.

Bring your own leathers, boots and helmets and watch out for lunatic Italian bikers.

$1,000 to ship bikes to/from Milan and Prague? If so from Austria or Germany high tail it back to Prague and return bikes and take train or flight to Milan?
