Never stayed at 20 Nevern Square but it certainly looks nice. I can't tell from their website if it's an air conditioned property. It's located in Earl's Court which some here don't like. Lots of tourist class hotels and a not immediately central location. Tube
Have you looked at Londontown.com? I see a number of 4* places offering double rooms in your price range. More central locations too.

I am having trouble opening the site you send me londontown.com. What kind of a site is it? I am not familiar with it. As for the Russell hotel that you mentioned in my other thread, have you stayed there? Because trip advisor gives it pretty mixed reviews.

www.londontown.com is an all-London site but I think it gets recommended here primarily as a hotel discounter. I used it a couple of years ago, ironically, to book the Bonnington.
I haven't stayed at the Russell. Considered it about 18 months ago but it was during a massive renovation. Didn't want to risk the noise or getting an unrenovated room. I did see one of the renovated rooms and it was quite decent. The location is really good.
Yep, I see the reviews are mixed at tripadvisor.

Hi Flame, we just returned from our trip to London and hopefully I can coherently describe the St. George Hotel. Our room was in the back and had A/C and a king size bed. It was large enough for a desk, table, 2 chairs and a small refrigerator. The bathroom was big enough for its purpose, with a small stall shower. Our room was on the bottom floor, down a flight of stairs. It was very quiet and overlooked a miniscule courtyard that held some electric generators.
The hotel is clean and the front desk people were always helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was okay--croissants, coffee, tea, juice (real juice, not the yucky stuff that they serve for continental breakfast in Italy!!) hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal and milk. If we return to London, we would stay at this hotel again.
The location was great--5 minute walk to the Baker St. tube or 10 minute walk to Marble Arch. Gloucester Place is a residential area, with lots of shops and restaurants just a few minutes away.
Oh, we also received a 5% discount for paying cash. This had to be requested in advance when we hade the reservation.
Hope this helps you---good luck!
