Milan - The Last Supper
I will be in Milan for half a day, and I would like to see the Last Supper.
I have checked the official site and tickets are not available for the day I need, however, tickets are availalbe from other online sites, at a premium of course. Which websites, if any are reliable.
The websites I have looked at are:-
www.tickitaly.com
www.selectitaly.com
If fodorites have had experience with either website, or know of another website where I can get a ticket to the last supper please let me know. I will be in Milan at the end of May and my dates are not flexible.
Thanks in advance.

Try booking a city sightseeing tour which includes a viewing of The Last Supper. That is how I was able to get a ticket to see The Last Supper. The tour conductor was excellent and very knowledgeable about the painting. You may have to endure a few hours of other sights in Milan as well.

Thank you, dina4 and Scotia.
dina4, thanks you for suggesting I call, I'll do this tomorrow morning.
scotia, a city tour is a good idea, my time in Milan is very limited. I'll be arriving by train form Switzerland and then flying out the following evening. Do you remember the name of the tour company?

scotia, thank you for answering my question about the city tour.
MademoiselleFifi and athena1939, I will check both the websites for city tours of Milan that include a visit to the Last Supper. I wasn't able to call today because of the time difference. I'm sure they'll be closed beacause of the Easter holiday this weekend. I will call and report back to let you know what happened.

MademoiselleFifi, I just called and I was able to get a reservation for the day I needed, the only time slot available was 9.30 am, which costs a little more (euros 11.25) because a guided tour in English is included for this time slot. So, to answer your question, yes there is more availabily than what is show on their website. If you'd like to call their number is 39 (02) 8942 1146. If you call and the line is busy keep trying, it took me a while to get through. I hope you're able to get tickets.
I'd like to thank all of you for your help.

MademoiselleFifi, sorry to hear that your couldn't get tickets are easily as I did. Maybe I was lucky. Also, I only needed one ticket so maybe this makes a difference. Just a thought... when/if you call again, just ask if it's possible for tickets for different time slots. Sorry, I don't know how many of you are travelling, if there are two of you maybe you can get tickets for two consecutive time slots, ie, 9.00 and 9.15, while this may not be the best option, it's certainly better than not getting tickets. Good luck. Enjoy Milan and Rome.
