You will pay more to take a taxi than a train or shuttle, but there are no stops and you do not have to worry about walking or luggage.

There is a startup price of ? 2,58 and additional costs of ? 0,67 for every kilometer or ? 20,66 for every hour. If you take it at night you must pay an extra ? 3,10. During holidays, you must pay an extra ? 1,55.

Shuttle Bus
The Gran Turism Malpensa Shuttle Buses is a 50-minute ride to the office. Milan's Cadorna Railway Station to Malpensa Airport leaves every 20 minutes.

The Malpensa Shuttle provides a complete and efficient service to both terminals, so you don't need to use the internal airport shuttle. It also connects Malpensa Airport to Linate Airport. The one-way ticket costs only ? 4,13 and can be bought in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in Malpensa Airport, from AIR PULLMAN office or in Central Railway Station from the SAP PASSAGGI office.

Express Train
The Milan Cadorna Railway Station (Milan's Northern Railway) is situated directly underneath the Malpensa Airport. The train arrives directly in the centre of Milan within walking distance of the office, at the Cadorna Railway Station.

*Make sure you get your ticket before you get on the train. The ticket booth is situated on the ground floor and not in the railway station, which is situated underground. It's easy to find and reach the right platform: there are clear indications. I too was alone, couldn't afford the taxi ride which I recall was closer to $80, but anyway. Once you leave the luggage go into the main lobby, you'll see places to buy tickets for the bus into town, (even if arriving late at night). It leaves very frequently, is comfortable and will take you right into town to the central train station. From there it will be very easy to get a taxi to your hotel.

Hi Bailey,

You really shouldn't worry at all about traveling from Malpensa to your hotel alone. It's not a scary thing.

The express train goes right from the air terminal to Cadorna Nord station. Takes about 50 minutes and leaves frequently. Not expensive & no traffic jams. From the Cadorna Nord station, just grab a taxi to your hotel. Be sure to take one from the official taxi stand, give your driver the address & ask the price before you get in.

I've traveled by myself in France & Italy for a few days each time. No problems at all. Just use common sense.

Buon viaggio!
