MaiTaiTom's Paris When It Sizzles; Paris When It Fizzles Anniversary Trip
#26
Enjoying your adventures and looking forward to the rest, warts and all. That second photo of you in your blog suggests some not so good stuff, but I trust you'lll be entertaining when you write about it.

Pleased no end to see that you are well enough to begin another of your marvelously entertaining trip reports. So sorry you have not been well but happy to see your sense of humor (understandably darker than usual) and witty writing have survived what sounds like a harrowing life threatening health experience.
I had read of your predicament in postings when you were dealing with pre-trip problems to do with the Air France strike and hotel search just before you were to leave for Paris. Terribly unjust that after such meticulous planning your much looked forward to celebratory journey got off to a bad start and went south from there.
Waiting for more... Checking out above link meantime...

Thanks everyone. Working on next chapter.
Cheryl, no bird crap on this trip, but we did have another couple of little friends to contend with.
travelchat and others, I have been well, thanks. I just have crazy episodes like that dizzy this morning. Fortunately, when we go to Spain later this year, I'll have the triumvirate of Tracy, Mary and Kim to make sure I don't keel over in the Alhambra.
Although the Paris trip eventually went south, we still got in a lot of things we wanted to do. It just had a few more nuisances than usual...not necessarily funny at the time, but much funnier when you're writing about them in hindsight.

I feel bad maitaitom was ill for his anniversary trip (that photo in the oxygen mask is something...). He has already proved that he can write an interesting and amusing report even at death's door — I'm signing on. And, tom, glad you are still willing to share the punny details.
