The Hotel de Ville is gorgeous! Who knew? Stunning. Loved the Rube Goldberg-looking cart guy.
I share your taste and had purchased a small print of “Impression, Soleil Levant” when DH and I were there.
And, your L’Ange 20 was astounding looking. WOWs all around: fun writing, excellent photos and great venues.

Timing is everything…thanks! Tracy was partial to "The Path Of Kahn," probably because I've made her watch that Star Trek movie more than a dozen times. "KHANNNNNNNNNNNNN!"

Don't know anything about star Trek but I do know that I absolutely loved the Albert Kahn gardens---definitely adding that to our Paris list. Even after 10 visits, some wonderful Fodorite like you shows us a new place to enjoy.

Speaking of Canadians, as I approached a small shop in Montmartre, the a rather large Canadian gent opened the door and stood in the doorway. (I don't recall how I knew immediately he was Canadian.) He stood there for a while, finally stepping down onto the top of two steps. Finally, he stepped onto the first step and went right, right into me. He said, "Scusay!" I said, "sure". He turned around and hollered, "Hey, Marion, here's another lady from Canada!" (I'm not.)

We're still following along with your fascinating TR. Your website is great. . .we really admire your ability to integrate your commentary with your excellent pictures. So many good ideas for future visits.
Sorry the A/C wasn't working at the Marmottan! We really liked that Museum. The heat must have been cranked up after we left Paris, as we were enjoying what we thought were perfect temps.
We're not sure what to expect for your coming days, as you forewarned. But glad to know that whatever you experienced is now in the past and trust that you're A-OK now.

Tom: I loved this last chapter! Your photos are really to die for!! (don't) - and I learned so much about the Hotel de Ville. We walked by it probably twice a day during our last trip to Paris a couple of years ago, and I never knew it had so much beauty inside.
You can become a Paris tour guide any time now. That restaurant, L'Ange 20, sounds divine.

That's why Tracy buys a lot of trip insurance, and we have doctors on call throughout North America and Europe. Working on the next day, which was also very fun, and hopefully will get it up here by Saturday. Then after that day, the whole trip goes to hell, which is ok, because I don't have to write as much, and this can finally drift off into trip report history. Thanks for the comments everyone.

I just booked dinner for my 85th birthday celebration in May .
I have been extremely fortunate to have celebrated my last 9 birthdays in Paris , some alone and some with family and I am sure this will be one of the most memorable,
This year I am traveling alone and they very graciously accepted a reservation for a solo diner.
